A Southern heirloom variety that produces some of the mildest, sweetest eggplant there is. If you have never tried eggplant that is pale green when ripe, you may be surprised by its tender white flesh and rich, nutty flavor that is delicious. This heirloom tomato was originally from the Livingston Collection and was offered for the first time about 1900. This variety is well named for its huge 2 lb. beefsteaks that are deep golden with red streaking. The coloration is distinctive from other bicolored tomatoes in that this variety is almost orange with more extensive red streaking, making for a very colorful fruit.
