Every now and then a tomato comes along that demands recognition for a flavor worthy of the royal family. She is only to be served at the peak of perfection. She has the highest sugar of all our trial garden tomatoes. Resistance to fusarium, powdery mildew, tomato mosaic virus, tomato yellow leaf curl virus, and LATE BLIGHT! Vigorous indeterminate vines produce long trailing brilliant red fruit clusters, with each fruit weighing about ½ an ounce each, measuring 1 1/2 by 1 inch. 78 days.

Very large, 4-lobed blocky bell pepper is hard to beat for its earliness and large size. Fruit becomes 4½ inches long and wide, and seems to set well even in heat. Plants provide good foliage cover and are resistant to two types of bacterial spot and three pepper viruses. 60 days green; 75 days red.

This wonderful large bi-colored tomato is yellow with bold red stripes on the exterior and yellow with lovely red streaking inside. Very meaty fruit are usually about 1 lb., but can vary in size. Plants bear large harvests of these tomatoes with sweet, rich and delicious flavor that is quite outstanding. Brad Gates of Wild Boar Farms developed this variety by crossing Big Rainbow with Green Zebra. Indeterminate. 80 days.

King George offers the promise of great things to come. The vigorous and productive plants produce an abundance of Royal Jumbo and Extra Large fruit. Fruits mature early as they change from green to red. It is hard to have both size and early maturity with other peppers, but you can have both with the King! In addition the King has added protection from bacterial leaf spot, plus a tolerance to Phytophthora blight. Strong plants benefit from staking. 72 days.

You will love these delicious red cherry treats, not just because they taste so yummy, but also because this variety is early and has tremendous yield potential. The ¼ ounce fruit are bite-size, and it is hard not to eat them right off the vine. Indeterminate. 57 days.

This sweet bell pepper starts green and turns to a bright and attractive orange color. Orange King pepper is great for salads, stir fry, or eating fresh for a delicious and healthy snack. Maturity 75 for green peppers, 87 days for orange.

King of the North just got better. This improved variety is now 10 days earlier to mature. The three or four lobed fruit mature from green to red and have good flavor.

This popular heirloom squash produces dark green fruit that are four to six inches in length, and are acorn shaped. Fruit can weigh up to two pounds. The yellow-orange flesh is sweet and firm. The vines are very vigorous and prolific, producing an abundance of fruit that store well, and get sweeter over time. 85 days

This variety offers some of the nicest shape and whitest color of any of the 'white' varieties. Beefsteak-type fruit weighs 8 to 12 ozs., and is smooth except for ribbed shoulders. Some fruit have a pink blush or streaks on their blossom ends and all ripen to pale creamy yellow with no cracking. Tomatoes are juicy and sweet with a well-balanced flavor. Heirloom variety. Distinctly different from other Golden Queens commonly sold, this is from a strain obtained from the USDA seed bank, and is the original Golden Queen described by the seedsman Livingston in 1882. Tomatoes are 8 to 12 ozs. and yellow with a pronounced pink blush on the blossom end extending up towards the stem end. What makes this one better than the common solid yellow Golden Queen is its superior flavor. It is delicious, with a full tomato taste that is also sweet and most pleasant. Indeterminate. 75 days.

This new hybrid eggplant combines improved yield, better eating quality, and earlier maturity than other varieties in the Black Beauty class. Attractive black oval 1 to 1. 5 pound fruit are perfect for grilling, stir fry, baba ganoush, roasting or baking. Makes fruit with fewer seeds. 74 days.

For those who want the Cherry Princess, but like her with a more complex flavor, just order up Sweet Surprise. She has all the natural sugar and goodness of Cherry Princess Sweetie but with a different taste. Fruit are 1/4 to 1/3 of an ounce. Indeterminate. 60 days.

Palace King hybrid is a rare sooyow type pickling cucumber that originated in Asia and was introduced to America. Plants are vigorous, with many tendrils to support the vines. Because the fruit grow up to 10“ long, it is best to trellis them if you want straight fruit. Plants are early to mature, and fruit have ribbing and small white spines that can be removed by washing. It is a burpless type with very good flavor, and thin skin that you don’t need to peel. 50 to 60 days.

King Kurd hybrid cauliflower (Barkha) has performed well in Southern and Eastern parts of the US. It has shown field tolerance to rain and black rot. Plants are semi-erect with good productivity and with consistent high yield potential. Creamy white curds have excellent quality, with an average weight of 2 to 3 pounds. 70 days.

We are pleased to offer this favorite of the late Darrell Merrell, who selected it from some variations of Hillbilly tomato. This one has a beautiful deep pink color with a purple tinge and a flavor that Darrell Merrell called exquisite. Expect l pound beefsteak tomatoes brimming with juice and flavor that is a complex blend of sweet and tart. Also famous for its large yields. Indeterminate. 85 days.

Big, heavy, blocky peppers measure 4½ inches long and wide, and mature to red early in the season. This variety has protection against 3 races of bacterial leaf spot and 2 pepper viruses. 65 days to green; 78 days to red.

This commercial cucumber was developed for early maturity, strong disease resistance, and high yield potential. The 7 to 8 inch dark green fruit are smooth and attractive for roadside markets. Resistance includes anthracnose, scab, and cucumber mosaic virus. The vigorous plants offer multiple picks, and the gynoecious fruiting quality offers greater yield potential because of the increased percentage of female flowers. 52 days.

Deep garnet round fruits really load up on these plants that stay fairly small. Tomatoes are medium-sized and full of juice and good, rich flavor. Originally from Siberia. This variety should be a favorite in most gardens. Indeterminate. 70 days.

This is the variety Italians have long favored for drying.  Meaty plum-shaped tomatoes have very little juice and few seeds, They measure just 1 1/2 inches long. The small plants become extremely loaded with fruit. Determinate. 75 days.

Lady Sophia is destined to be queen of the pink tomato, once you have discovered the old fashioned flavor of its sweet and luscious flesh that people love. 10 to 12-ounce fruit are produced on large indeterminate plants. 79 days.

King Richard leek is a selection that is designed to produce over a long season. The white shank is often over 12 inches. The mild flavor of leeks is great for soups, salads, pasta, risotto, stuffing and many dishes. You should start leeks in soil amended with organic material. You can transplant seedlings closer together 2–3 inches for baby leeks and 8–9 inches apart for larger leeks. Transplant them in trenches after the last frost, when temperatures are 45 degrees or more. Fill in the soil around the leek to cover the white part of the stem. Or you can plant the transplant 6 inches in a hole (made by digger stick) with leaves above the ground, allowing the soil to fill in around the stem naturally. Harvest in late August for full size. 90 days.
